Ideas for the trip · late September
Us thinking out loud — the island's best bits laid out, places to stay, how to get around, then three ways to string it all together. Nothing fixed. Pick the version that sounds like our kind of week.
Start here
Before any day-by-day plan, here's the good stuff Menorca puts on the table — markets and the two old towns, the fortress, the coves, and every way to get out on (and in) the water. Each trip later is just a different mix of these.
Ideas of places to stay
Not booked — just the kind of five-star, characterful places we'd love. Conveniently, one sits in the west (Ciutadella) and two are central-east, which fits the settle-then-move plan perfectly. Several rent bikes to guests, too.
Wheels
A car does the heavy lifting; the fun stuff fills the gaps. Here's the mix we'd sort out.
One simple rule
No living out of a suitcase. Every version uses the same shape: three nights from a first base, exploring everything within easy reach, then a single move to a second base for the rest of the week. Menorca's only ~50 km across, so two well-chosen bases cover the whole island without the daily packing-up.
Pick one to dig into
Same island, same settle-then-move rhythm — each leans a different way. Tap through and see which feels like us.
